The Jump
The JUMP National Mentoring Program for Young and Emerging Artists supports the career development of artists aged 18-30, and in the first five years of their professional practice, by providing mentoring opportunities with established professionals in their artform.
Mentored artists receive funding of up to $5,000 for a creative concept, to be realised through a one on one relationship with their chosen mentor, and access to a range of professional development, showcasing and networking activities.

Create Biz
CreateBiz is a resource to help artists to access government support programs. It provides state-by-state and national lists of business, research, innovation and export programs that may assist artists to access new sources of income.

ArtStart provides financial assistance to recent creative arts graduates who are committed to establishing a career as a professional artist.

Community Partnerships - Project or Professional Development

Dance - Projects

These grants support the research, creative development, production, remounting or presentation of dance works by artists or organisations. The aim is to encourage artists to take the time to develop a work over the course of its life cycle.

Youth Arts Queensland [YAQ]

Youth Arts Mentoring Program [YAMP]
YAMP is open to young and emerging producers, curators, arts administrators and marketers, events and technical coordinators, lighting and sound designers and other cultural workers of up to 30 years of age. Seven places are available in 2010 - five for artsworkers who propose their own mentors and two in technical coordination and lighting - and we invite applications from artsworkers from across Queensland. Participating in YAMP will give you a unique opportunity to partner with a professional in your field.

Transit Lounge
Navigation is designed to equip young, emerging artists and cultural workers with the key business knowledge and skills required for a sustainable career in the creative industries. The training package, worth $1,600, is free for people 30 years of age and under.

Arts Queensland
Career Development Grants
Career Development Grants (up to $5,000) assist artists and arts workers to pursue professional development opportunities that hone their craft and expand their horizons at national and international levels. The grants are available as part of Arts Queensland's professional development program. Artists can apply for a Career Development grant at any time throughout the year.

A-Venue 1.0/2.0
A-Venue is an Arts Queensland project for young people aged 15 to 25 participating in the music industry in regional Queensland. Arts Queensland is funding five regional partners along Queensland’s eastern seaboard to deliver programs of support to young people within the Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast areas.
Q Music offers its professional development, workshop, event support, tour circuit development, links with the national music industry and general services to each of the five regional partners. Recognising Regional Trainers
Support for two arts and cultural workers in regional communities each year to complete a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment. This will contribute to increased availability of accredited training in regional areas and strengthen employment opportunities for regionally based workers.

Asia Link
Asialink is Australia’s leading centre for the promotion of public understanding of the countries of Asia and of Australia’s role in the region. Asialink is a key provider of information, training and professional networks. Opportunities are available for funding in arts residencies including management, writing, performance arts and visual arts. Funding opens from July 2010 and closes around September.
